Ariel Online Courses are college and seminary-level courses that are developed and taught by Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum and other qualified faculty associated with Ariel’s School of Messianic Jewish Studies. Our courses can be purchased, enjoyed, and completed by anyone who has access to a computer, the internet, and a desire to learn. All our online courses are pre-programmed, self-paced, and are based on an open-enrollment.
This means that you can study what you want, whenever you want, and wherever you are.
How are Ariel Online Courses connected with Ariel’s School of Messianic Jewish Studies?
Ariel School of Messianic Jewish Studies has a residential on-campus division and an online division. Ariel Online Courses is the online division of Ariel School of Messianic Jewish Studies (ASMJS). Students can study on campus in the residential program or choose to study online by taking Ariel Online Courses.
Ariel Online Courses exists to disciple both Jewish and Gentile believers through online college and seminary-level courses taught from a Messianic Jewish perspective.
Ariel Online Courses seek to provide biblically accurate, theologically sound, spiritually edifying, and pedagogically engaging instruction through a growing array of online college and seminary-level courses taught from a Messianic Jewish perspective. All of our courses are offered at affordable prices so that both Jewish and Gentile believers can be well-grounded and growing in their faith.
The Ten Specific Elements of our Vision:
1. Biblically Accurate
All course content (lectures, readings, assignments, etc.) is exegetically accurate in the approach to Scripture, aligned with sound exegesis, using Classic Normative Dispensational hermeneutics.
2. Theologically Sound
All course content and instructors are in full agreement with the Ariel Doctrinal Statement. While students will be exposed to other theological viewpoints, only those doctrines in accord with Ariel Ministries will be endorsed by our faculty.
3. Spiritually Edifying
In addition to the academic components, each course includes aspects of practical application so students are enriched in their walk with God and challenged to grow in Christ-like character virtues.
4. Pedagogically Engaging Presentations
Lectures are professionally recorded in a closed-studio format and include use of on-screen text to help maximize student attention. Video lectures are presented in vignettes ranging from about 7 to 20 minutes per session and students are required to complete academically challenging exams that follow each unit of study.
5. Growing Array of Courses
Advanced courses will continually be offered in the online program so that students can complete progressively higher levels. Believers can look to Ariel Online Courses as a source for life-long biblical and theological learning specifically in the area of Messianic Jewish studies.
6. Online College and Seminary-Level Courses
This means that courses are academically robust, content-rich, and intellectually challenging to our students. Students are expected to complete all assigned readings in addition to the recorded lecture presentations. Passing scores on all exams are required for credit to be earned for each course.
7. Taught form a Messianic Jewish Perspective
All courses are taught from a Messianic Jewish perspective, thus all courses are framed around this central unifying focus of the program. We offer many courses not available in most other Bible colleges and seminaries.
8. Offered at Affordable Prices
Our goal is to reach as many people as we can with this quality teaching so prices will be very reasonable, substantially below the standard prices charged at most Bible colleges and seminaries. We are grateful for financial donations that believers make to Ariel Online Courses to help us meet our expenses.
9. Jews and Gentiles
Studying the Scriptures from a Messianic Jewish perspective will enrich both Jewish and Gentile believers in Messiah Yeshua, thus the program is open to all, regardless of age or ethnicity; this is an international online school.
10. Well-Grounded and Growing in Faith
We seek to disciple believers so that they are well-grounded in the essential doctrines of the faith. Discipleship does not end with this, it is a life-long process of drawing close to God and growing in Yeshua-like character virtues. All courses include cognitive, affective, and behavioral learning objectives. So, we incorporate Spiritual Growth (Implications and Applications) assignments in the curriculum.
